Peach Labneh Toast

Peach Labneh Toast takes just a few simple ingredients but it comes together for a quick, filling, and healthy meal or snack!

One of the greatest pleasures in life is a slice of fresh baked bread, especially when it is from a local bakery. And if you are like me, and adore loaded toast for breakfast, then this simple breakfast of loaded labneh toast is right up your alley. A thick heavy smear of labneh, mashed avocado, and sliced peaches top this slice of toasted country bread and finished with Aleppo pepper. The breakfast you never knew you needed, because honestly, it is completely addictive. This recipe is from the master of all toasts, Toasted Table.

Labneh is a Middle Eastern yogurt spread that is made in the same fashion as Greek yogurt. Except labneh has the extra whey drained out leaving it a thick, cream cheese like consistency. The tart, creamy, and cheesy flavor pairs beautifully with acidic, spicy, or dull flavors. Basically, whatever you smear labneh on, chances are, it is going to be good.

Peach Labneh Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 thick slice sourdough
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 cup Labneh
  • 1 Peach, sliced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp hot honey
  • 1 sprig fresh dill
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning, Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Toast the sourdough slice.
  2. While the bread is toasting, mash the 1/2 avocado together with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  3. Build the toast: Take the toast, smear the labneh, mashed avocado, peach slices, top it with hot honey, dill and a sprinkle of bagel seasoning.
